The Lumi Middle East office may be one of the newer additions to our global team, but they have become a fundamental part of the group, generating significant revenues, creating an impressive client portfolio and driving the digitalisation of corporate governance in the region.
Our success in the Middle East began with a conversation in an exhibition hall in London with a representative from DP World, who was attending the ICSA Annual Conference. As a result of that initial meeting, we went on to deliver Dubai’s first hybrid meeting – and haven’t looked back since.
In 2018, Lumi took the opportunity to open a permanent office in the Middle East and at the time, Yousef Qaren – Managing Director of Lumi ME – said “My team and I are delighted to be joining Lumi. We recognized the huge opportunity to grow in this region and with the years of experience and development that has gone into Lumi’s technology, we can really capitalize on the demand in this market for electronic, hybrid and virtual AGMs
Fast forward to the end of 2021, and Yousef says “I’m so proud to say that we run over 80% of the AGMs for the listed market in UAE, and for such prestigious organisations as EMAAR, Arab Bank, and Royal Jordanian Airlines . The trust placed in us by our clients reflects the quality of our work, our constant commitment to excellence and the distinction of our full-service offering.
Lumi is privileged to work in such a rapidly evolving region, with forward-thinking organizations who want to digitize the AGM and deliver outstanding experiences for stakeholders, while ensuring excellent corporate governance.
As we enter 2022, we are excited to expand into other Middle Eastern markets, and help organizations across the region continue to move forward with confidence, and deliver market leading solutions for digital innovation.
Lumi is the trusted partner of over 3,000 organizations in 40 countries worldwide. If you are considering a virtual or new-hybrid AGM later this year, or for 2021, please do get in touch.
